How to Delete Your Account

Follow these simple steps to permanently delete your VaxBuddy account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

Follow these 5 simple steps to delete your account

Login to Your Account

Open the VaxBuddy app on your device and sign in using your registered email address and password. Make sure you're logged into the correct account that you want to delete.

Navigate to Settings

Once logged in, tap on the menu icon (☰) or your profile picture in the top-right corner of the app. From the dropdown menu, select 'Settings' to access your account preferences.

Navigate to Edit Profile

In the Settings menu, look for the 'Account' or 'Profile' section. Tap on 'Edit Profile' or 'Account Settings' to access your personal information and account management options.

Click on Delete Account Button

Scroll down to the bottom of the Edit Profile page. You'll find a red 'Delete Account' button in the danger zone section. This button is intentionally placed at the bottom to prevent accidental deletion.

Click on Confirm

A confirmation dialog will appear asking you to confirm the account deletion. Read the warning message carefully, as this action is permanent and cannot be undone. Type 'DELETE' in the confirmation field and tap 'Confirm' to proceed with the deletion.

Important Information

Permanent Deletion

Once you delete your account, all your data including vaccination records, reminders, and personal information will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Processing Time

Account deletion is processed immediately. However, it may take up to 30 days for all data to be completely removed from our backup systems.

No Recovery

There is no way to recover a deleted account. If you change your mind, you'll need to create a new account and re-enter all your information.

Before You Delete

Consider These Alternatives

Before deleting your account, consider these alternatives: 1) Temporarily disable notifications if you're overwhelmed by reminders, 2) Contact our support team if you're experiencing technical issues, 3) Export your vaccination data before deletion if you need it for medical records.

Data Export Options

You can export your vaccination data before deleting your account. Go to Settings > Data & Privacy > Export Data. This will generate a PDF file with all your vaccination records that you can save for your medical records.
